Being bored with the day Crow visits his friend Cow, who wasn’t in the best of moods on this particular day but welcomed his friend Crow to his field regardless. Shortly after Crow arrived he began nagging Cow to play ‘ Hide and Go Seek’. Cow, not in the mood to play games finally agreed suggesting that Crow hide and Cow would go find him. Crow pleased with himself for breaking Cow down; went searching for a place to hide.
He came across this pile of shit; thinking to himself ‘…a perfect hiding spot.’ Crow climbs into this pile of shit and waits for his friend Cow to come searching. It was unknown to him Cow had no intentions of coming to find him. It was a trick on Crow just to get him to leave so that Cow could be in peace. This was indeed a dirty trick to play on a friend but, Cow could often be shallow much like his friend Crow.
While hiding in this shit waiting on Cow to come find him, Crow noticed it becoming harder to move eventually becoming stuck inside after the shit hardened. This does not sit well with Crow and he immediately screams for help. Having hidden very far away Cow was unable to hear his friend calling for help however, as luck would have it an old turtle happens to walk by. When he hears Crow screaming for help he stops to offer aid but can not be of much help because he was an old turtle. Wanting to help the old turtle tries to comfort Crow by telling him he will find someone who could help and would return shortly.
While waiting on the old turtle to return with help a tiny field mouse wonders by and asks Crow if he should seek help as well, Crow who was angry it has taken so long to get help tells the field mouse to find help but asks him to return quickly.
It was while waiting on the old turtle and field mouse to return with help that the Sly Fox managed to find Crow stuck in this pile of shit and offers help in helping him out. Crow was reluctant at first but, reached out his wing for the Sly Fox to grab and pull him out of this pile of shit he had been stuck in for so long.
After the Sly Fox grabbed Crow’s wing he struggled for a minute trying to free him from this pile of shit and eventually managed to help him get loose. Crow was very lad to be out of the shit but, before he could offer his thanks; Sly Fox opens his mouth and eats the now free Crow.
The moral of this story is: It’s not always an enemy who gets you into shit, and it is not always a friend that helps you out.
